So it seems the man with his hand in the puppet’s can is getting even more obvious with his chicanery. His office claims that, for the purposes of securing classified information in the National Archives, the office of the vice president is not part of the executive branch. Is this just a veiled attempt to justify the stupidity of our nation’s children, who flunk their civics tests because they can’t tell one branch of government from the other?
Caustic and hyperbolic headers aside, it may be the case that Dick did not issue the statement as it stands, or it might be the case that the fine print of “for the purposes of” holds sway, as Dick’s office is insisting that is is not an entity that comes into possession of classified information. Well, heck, why didn’t they say so before? Sheriff, let Scooter go, he wasn’t lyin’ after all.
What they’re really trying to say is “Hey, man, we’re the office of the vice-president. We’re just token politicians, you know, good for bake sales and library openings. Come on, remember Dan Quayle? You think they’d let him have any secrets?” Dick, no one’s buying it. We all know you’re the one raping America.
You’re just using W as your condom.

good news: Cheney is now correct. He’s no longer part of the executive branch.
